What is Health?

April 7th is World Health Day and we wanted to celebrate by talking about what health means to us.

So what is health? Is it the absence of ailment or disease, or the process of our continued wellbeing?

When we talk about health, we mean the continued freedom from disease or ailment. And one of the methods we employ to maintain this state is through regular maintenance of the bodies vital systems; specifically the nervous system.

Our nervous system is connected to every part of our body. Through its pathways signals are sent to organs, muscles, glands, etc, continually updating and regulating the bodies functions. We believe that the body has the ability to heal itself, and we want to help create the most healthy environment to do so.

We often see people in an acute state, meaning there has been a sudden onset of pain or restricted movement usually caused from some inciting incident. Through regular Chiropractic, and even Remedial Massage, we aim to help decrease the frequency of these kinds of “emergency” visits. By helping to maintain your body, both the structural and muscular systems, we aim to allow your body to heal and for a natural state of health to flourish.
